Authoured by Wilson Almeida., Filipe Costa Luz, Inês Nunes, and Micaela Fonseca, research stemming from Óbidos’ 2nd Game Jam was presented this summer at #EDULEARN25 and is officially published in the conference proceedings! 🌊🎮

At the Game Jam, 45 students collaboratively developed 14 games to explore cultural references and promote civic engagement and a sense of belonging. This research evaluates the games through the lens of Sustainable Development Goals, civic learning, and moral learning principles, exploring how game-based learning can promote awareness of local ecosystems and sustainability through play.
