Students from Lusófona University exhibit their games produced at the Over & Out 2024 event.
As part of the Over & Out 2024 event, at Universidade Lusófona, the final exhibition of games produced by students from the Degree in Videogames and the Masters in Game Design and Playable Media took place. The exhibition featured games produced during the 1st and 2nd EPIC-WE Cultural Game Jam, as part of the EPIC-WE project.
During the exhibition, with the presence of companies from the Creative Industries, visitors were able to freely play the games developed and talk to the creators, creating a moment of sharing and reflection. The exhibition ended with an awards ceremony, where several juries evaluated the games in five categories: best concept, best developed system, best cultural game, best EPIC-WE game and best game of 2024. The winner of the “Best EPIC – WE award Game” was “Puss in Books”, where the player takes on the role of a cat who must type the words he intends to execute to travel through the literary world of Óbidos.
Events like this give students the opportunity to have their first contact with the job market, dialoguing and collaborating with the Creative Industries.”
