Legacies Event Day 2 Recap

We’re still buzzing from our time spent together in Aarhus, so here’s a glimpse into what happened at the second day of our Legacies event!

The morning focused on impact, policy pathways, and youth empowerment, from the project’s cross-hub impact assessment to concrete recommendations for heritage–games partnerships. Thank you to Rebecca Haselhoff (Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld en Geluid), Rasmus Wiinstedt Tscherning and Sofia Laranjeiro (Creative Business Network), and EPIC-WE coordinator Rikke Toft Nørgård (Aarhus University) for leading these reflections, and to our discussants and Advisory Board members, Professor Stig Børsen Hansen, Chris Solarski, and Mary Flanagan, for their generous insights.

In the afternoon, we moved from reflection to practice at Filmby Aarhus with a hands-on capacity-building workshop, followed by the Games for Culture Expo celebrating youth-created prototypes and studio collaborations. A special thank you to our youth board members and game partners – BATTLESHEEP, DROPSTUFF MEDIA, and Mothworks – for sharing your work and energy!

Grateful to everyone who contributed and celebrated with us, our time spent together has left a truly special legacy!

Keep an eye on our website for a more in-depth look at the event and its lasting legacies, coming soon!
