We’re really pleased to announce that EPIC-WE project was presented last week at CEEGS2025 in Wrocław, Poland!
Our contribution, “THAT’S NOT FAIR! Cultural Heritage, European Values, and Youth’s Societal Engagement at Cultural Game Jams” (co-authored by Stanisław Krawczyk, Kim Holflod, Em Hansen,and Rikke Toft Nørgård), highlights how cultural game jams create new spaces for young people to:
🎲 Remix cultural heritage
🕹️ Create new stories + games
🎭 Explore identity, belonging & voice
🌍 Imagine fairer, more shared futures
Through making games, youth remix, reconfigure, and sometimes revolt against cultural heritage, transforming it across pasts, presents, and futures. Game-making is culture-making, going beyond just play and towards more participatory, empowering, and imaginative futures.
