On October 24th, EPIC-WE joined Gameyard, a cosy networking event for everyone working in the Danish game industry, hosted at Filmby Aarhus. This time, we partnered up to exhibit Metamorphosis, further developed by Mothworks from a prototype originally created during an EPIC-WE cultural game jam.
Gameyard was packed with over 150 game developers from across Denmark — and Metamorphosis caught a lot of attention! Anne and Amalie from Mothworks guided guests through the experience and shared insights about the project:
🎮 Anne:
“We had a busy night at Gameyard, with so many people interested in trying out Metamorphosis – it was awesome! People were asking a lot of questions and showing great interest in the project and how it came to be. It is a privilege to have been part of bringing the wonderful ideas of the original game jammers to an audience!”
🎮 Amalie:
“At Gameyard, we held around 16 individual playthroughs of Metamorphosis. Talking with the players was nothing but engaging and positive. It’s my impression that the message of the original game jammers has been carried through all the way to the showcase of the finished project, and that’s been pretty magical to witness.”
👏 A huge thank-you to everyone who stopped by; to Anne, Amelie and all at Mothworks; and of course to Filmby Aarhus for hosting such a vibrant event!
